Prof. Sumit Sinha completed his neurosurgical training from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. Immediately after obtaining his degree from the apex Institute of India, he was appointed to the institute as a faculty in 2005. Prof. Sinha has since then obtained training working in various parts of the world with several Neurosurgical stalwarts and enhancing his neurosurgical training and expertise, prominent among them being with Prof. Hiroshi Sano (Japan), Prof. Louis Vialle (Brazil), Prof. B Meyer (Germany).

  • Founder Faculty In-charge, Cadaver Training and Research Facility, AIIMS, JPNA Trauma Centre, AIIMS, New Delhi- conceptualized and established state-of-art cadaver training and research facility at AIIMS.
  • Founder Secretary, Indian Society of Peripheral Nerve Surgery.
  • Member of Core Committee for the formulation of National guidelines for traumatic brain injury.

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) is a surgeon who has been recognized for their exceptional expertise, skill, and dedication to the field of surgery. The American College of Surgeons (ACS) is a prestigious organization that aims to improve the quality of surgical care and patient safety.

To become a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a surgeon must:

  1. Be certified by the American Board of Surgery (ABS) or a equivalent certifying body.
  2. Have a minimum of 3-5 years of practice experience.
  3. Demonstrate a commitment to ethical practice, professional development, and continuous learning.
  4. Be sponsored by two current FACS members.
  5. Pass a rigorous evaluation process, including a review of their surgical experience, publications, and contributions to the field.

FACS designation indicates that a surgeon has:

  • Met high standards for surgical competence and ethical conduct.
  • Staying current with the latest advances and best practices in surgery.
  • Demonstrated a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
